Thomas & Betts Interlock Kits

These Interlock Kits are custom designed for the Thomas & Betts electrical panels shown below – and made right here in the USA. Each Kit functions like a manual transfer switch, allowing you to safely and easily connect your portable generator to your home’s electrical panel. In addition to helping you to get more use and convenience out of your generator, these Kits are easier to install than traditional transfer switches; as a result, your local electrician should charge less for installation.

This Kit mounts to Siemens, GE, Square D, Cutler Hammer, Thomas & Betts, Challenger, Crouse-Hinds, and Westinghouse electrical panels; requires:

  • Horizontal (left-right) throw
  • Two two-pole breakers
  • Works in all four corners
Main: two-pole; generator: two-pole. Fits any feed-through panel with two double-pole 1" breakers.

Kit Installation Instructions
This Kit performs like a manual transfer switch for Westinghouse, Thomas & Betts, and Challenger electrical panels; requires:

  • Horizontal (left-right) throw
  • Two-handle breaker
  • Offset 1¼" left of center of breaker columns
  • Distance from columns: 1" (above)
Space between breaker columns: ½"; two panel spaces required for this Kit.

Kit Installation Instructions
This Interlock Kit mounts to Westinghouse, Thomas & Betts, and Challenger electrical panels and requires:

  • Vertical (up-down) throw
  • Four-handle breaker
  • Centered under both breaker columns
  • Distance from columns: 1¼" (below)
Space between breaker columns: ½"; two panel spaces required for this Kit.

Kit Installation Instructions
This Kit performs like a manual transfer switch for Westinghouse, Thomas & Betts, and Challenger electrical panels with the following features:

  • Vertical (up-down) throw
  • Two-handle breaker
  • Offset to the left of the breaker column
  • Distance from column: 4½" (above)
Single column of breakers; two panel spaces required for this Kit.
